Education & Certificates
While growing up in Austria, Lisi Bratcher completed her extensive Exercise Science Ph.D. program at the University of Vienna. To enrich her academic background, she completed the following certificates: IFS Group-Fitness Instructor, IFS Snowboard Instructor, Red-Cross Lifeguard Teaching Instructor, Nationally Certified Track & Field Coach, ACSM Health & Fitness Specialist, ISSN Sports Nutritionist, Pilates Mat Instructor.
Work Experience
20 years of her life she combined teaching Exercise Science classes and conducting research with a focus on Active Aging. Lisi taught at Universities in Austria and the United States, plus coached athletes of various ages and backgrounds at the same time.
Lisi found her calling in teaching, and became a movement educator.
Competitive Career
Lisi very much enjoyed competitive sports since her teens. Sailing, offroad motorcycles, and long-distance triathlons like Half-Ironmans brought her to beautiful locations across Europe and the United States. She achieved her dream of becoming the Women’s European Champion in Enduro Motorcyle racing in 2005.
Pain Journey
In her early 40s she was diagnosed with a chronic lung condition which had a huge impact on her physical abilities. Her compromised health turned out to be a difficult mental and physical challenge.
Through her work she shares her experience over the past ten years, using the Pilates Methods, Yoga, and other tools to improve health, increase bodily awareness, and reduce pain.
This path led her to where she is today: devoting her time to designing science-based programs to the needs of Women over 40 with persistent health issues.
Her professional services are targeted to help clients to get educated and to participate actively in their health journey.
